I was very pleasantly surprised by this wine, only because I picked it up in a friends and family sales so my expectations weren't super high. Lush body, well integrated oak, quality mountain fruit, it probably deserved a better occasion than my Wednesday night pasta and meatballs!

This was the ANV blend. Spring Mountain is one of my favorite NV AVAs. Rich and dark mountain fruit.

This 2006 is a Merlot based blend from ANV. It's a big wine in need of more time in the cellar. Only one barrel made.

The 2012 opens up with aromas of plums and chocolate with a hint of cigar box. It has plum, chocolate and cassis on the palate. This is a super nice blend to enjoy with good company.
