Preface: today's not a wine day. After showing 3 Cru Beaujolais and '11 Villaine Burgs and not a single one performing well (tight and austere) I'm convinced the fruit is hiding. Nalle '11 - 1st bottle corked and now I'm not sure after the second which is bitter, high acid, prune-y, short finish. Not the cuddly and balanced wine I remember. I will not give up hope. 1 more left to try at another date.

For 30+ years now Doug Nalle and family have been making Zin that places bright acidity and a laser beam of fruit front and center. And the wine is always under 14%. Delicious!

Nalle zin likely won't convert any Francophiles, but a very refreshing old school style, 13.5%, good acidity, only a hint of wood. This wine tends to age well, should improve over 5+ yrs
