Small Lot Livermore Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

This is an extremely dark wine with plenty to offer on the nose and palate. Aromas of cassis are joined by cedar, anise, vanilla and a bit of mint. The flavors are explosive, with blackberries and cherries prominent, savory spice and a zippy acidity to frame the firm tannins. It's a steak wine, really, but it goes well with stew or chili, too.

Fun to finally taste this after barrel tasting it over 2 years ago. 1st time ive been back home to norcal in over a year.

Robbie meyer's first cabernet. Black cherry, mocha, licorice. Not as much olive as some other livermore cabs. Plush, juicy, elegant, pretty. 14.1%

Winemaker dinner. 1st time pairing a cab with a salad and it worked.
