Another Wednesday Wine Committee lunch, this time hosted by my buddy @Will Adams ! As always, all wines are tasted blind.
Heard about this wine but my first time having it. This was the last glass in a flight of 4 reds and it deserved to be enjoyed last. Extracted, concentrated and big. My guess here was a cab/zin Blend from Cali. A lot of lush and ripe fruit to go along with cedar and fig type notes. Stylistically, I’d enjoy these younger rather than aging them. Incredibly easy to drink.

45 bucks for 95 pts parker. This is a great value blend (petite, cab, zin, syrah, grenache, barbera) that gallo has produced from its monte rosso vineyard. Not oaky. Not sweet. Just concentrated fruit and generous acid...very balanced wine actually for 15.9 alcohol. I got blackberry, plum, a little chocolate and vanilla. 93-94

Very nice red blend! Shared it with my husband and our friend, Travis. It was delicious with a nice steak dinner.

Very nice red blend from Sonoma. Mostly Cabernet Sauvignon, some Zinfandel. Inky, big and powerful, but well balanced.
