The epitome of Moss Wood. Cassis, Herbs, Brambles, and Tomato bush aromas. A beautiful aged Margaret River Cabernet Sauvignon flying high at 23 years of age - at it’s peak. Seamless on the palate still with great intensity and balance - resolved Tannins. Would hold its own with top shelf Left Bank Bordeaux IMO. The winery says 1996 was a 10/10 vintage. My last bottle of 750 ml but the good news is I have a Magnum which I will leave for a few more years and probably consume on my 70th!!!

Trademark Herbaceous notes with berry and chocolate and a trace of lantana. On the palate just medium weight and singing at 21 years of age. In a blind tasting many would say Left Bank Bordeaux. Restrained but striking the right balance - with light savoury tannins to finish off. Has always been, and remains one of Australia's best Cabernets.

Iron fist in a velvet glove! 23 years old but still a puppy! Took ages to open up but showing layer upon layer of nuanced flavors and typical Margaret River gravelly salty tannin. Amazing
