Mosquita Muerta
Perro Callejero Blend de Malbec
Mendoza, Cuyo, Argentina

Pretty color of ruby with a wide reddish rim.
Strong nose of black fruits with wood and chocolate notes.
Full-bodied with medium plus acidity and long legs.
Dry on the palate with cooked cherries, black plums, dried fruits, vegetables, bitter herbs, light earth and peppercorn.
Nice length on the finish with fine grained tannins, tangy raspberries and bitter vegetables.
This 6 year old Malbec from Argentina is still drinking nicely and a good food wine.
Complex and elegant, but a little bitter for me.
I had this vintage 3 years ago and it was not as bitter, although it is more complex now.
Good right out of the bottle and easy drinking.
100% Malbec grapes were aged in French oak barrels and concrete vats.
14.5% alcohol by volume.
86 points.

Dark ruby/purple in color with a short purple rim.
Strong nose of black plums, black currants, coffee, oak, cloves, earth, vanilla, licorice, spices, chocolates, light bone fire smoke, herbs and black pepper.
Full bodied with medium acidity and nice legs.
Dry and very fruity on the palate with blackberries, black plums, cooked cherries, oak, vanilla, black pepper, chocolates, coffee, licorice, spices, light tobacco and earth.
Medium finish with soft tannins and tangy cherries.
This is a nice everyday wine from Mendoza, Argentina. Easy drinking and spicy, with a nice mouthfeel.
Good right out of the bottle and better with airtime. I gave it a few hours in a decanter to open up and show some complexity.
A nice porch wine that I paired with cheeses and crackers.
100% Malbec grapes were grown at 3,000 feet of elevation. Partially aged for six months in French Oak barrels.
14.5% alcohol by volume.
88 points.

Clear, medium ruby in color; on the nose, it's clean with medium intensity primary and secondary aromas of red plum, blackberry, and tabacco; on the palate, it's dry with medium acidity, medium tannins, medium alcohol, medium body, and medium intensity primary and secondary flavors of raspberry, black cherry, and dried leaves with a long finish. This wine is balanced and complex, but lacking in intensity. Overall, I would rate this wine as very good. Nellie likes it, too.

Sep 17th, 2025Good blend. Full but not overwhelmingly oaky like a lot of malbec.

Jan 19th, 20212018-I don’t review wines with critique words. It’s unique with darker, fuller fruity notes with no tinty bite.

Um bom vinho, achei um pouco ácido e uma leve sensação de tanino na ponta da língua. Tem boa viscosidade e cor rubi. Sem gosto de carvalho, álcool não muito marcante.
