First old world grape varietal to be planted in the new world. Bright ruby color and light to medium body. Heavy aromas of earth with a woodsy note (Carbonic Maceration?) along with red cherry and strawberry. Earthy and herbal flavors are complimented by bright red fruit and baking spices. A touch sour on the finish. Can handle a chill. “Beaujolais-like.” Excellent QPR.
