From an area better known for its Pinot and Chardonnay. Northern Rhone spicy and meaty notes. On palate fruit is too restrained and a little lean. Acceptable quaffer.

This wine is spectacular. I can't express enough how sad I am that I no longer have access to this wine. Brilliant with the Lebanese tasting menu at Sanford. Just amazing. If you're in Milwaukee in the next few weeks, take heed. They have the last few bottles in existence in the city, and it is perfect with the menu. Absolutely perfect. I could've drank a 2nd bottle of this. A small block of Shiraz grown in a Pinot Vineyard. So atypical, yet so right. Love. Love this wine.

Sep 25th, 2015Deep red purple, medium + tannin, on the nose is herbaceous, stemmy, bright lifted & peppery blackcurrent juice! Such a complex Shiraz! Had it with grilled steak and it is absolutely perfect!

May 7th, 2017Beginning to wish i didn't open this soon. Still feeling quite restrained, there's somr bright acidity to it and fine tannins. Interesting in the sense that there's no obvious primary fruit jumping out of the glass however the aromas are very seductive. Aromas of roasted meats, fennel, anise, wood fire, roasted parsnips, savoury spice and the feintest of ribena and underripe blackberry poking through. Palate is very dark and a small bitter chocolate comes through with sour blackberries.
