Moores Hill
Riesling
We bought this Riesling and it literally must have been only an hour or maybe 2 before it got cracked… oops! We enjoyed it with a home cooked meal at our AirBnb in Gravelly Beach in the Tamar Valley. Dinner consisted of salad, potatoes (this may sound weird, but the potatoes at the local IGA were some of the yummiest I’ve had, so pillowy and scrumptious) and pork mignon from the local butcher.
It went well with this crisp dry Riesling which I wrote these few notes for while savouring all that deliciousness:
On the eye it’s a really light lemon-lime shade. The nose is full of royal gala apples, zesty lime and interestingly a couple of us were picking up cucumber. While in the mouth we unanimously called it ‘acidic fruit juice’ – so plenty of refreshing citrus with a lick of fruity sweetness. Yum!
$30 a bottle and worth every penny.
All opinions are based on my own taste buds. Wine is subjective & always evolving, so make sure you drink what you enjoy!
