Absolutely delicious and luxurious, like liquid velvet. Did not decant it. Had it with a baguette and some Brie.

Sipping Fine Wine

A blend of 83% Cabernet and 17% Merlot, cool weather resulted in a challenging outcome. Aromas of black fruits and earthy spice. On the palate blackberry and tart cherry, oak, spice and cacao with firm dry tannins. Wine lacks depth, a bit of alcohol heat, medium finish. Drink now. Pricey, Pass. Tasting Sample.

2010 vintage Napa cabs all seem to have a similar dark, gritty richness about them. This one most certainly reflects that year. Dark blackberries and stewed black plum, nutmeg, leather, and black olive are apparent on the nose and pallet. The tannin structure is firm, and have barely subsided since I had it 2 years ago. They are well integrated and smooth, with a delicious mocha finish. My favorite vintage so far now has been the 2013 for its richness and smoothness, but this one is for the lover of a more rustic Cabernet. This one will be great in a few more years!

Should have let this open up more. Smooth and delicious just not as complex as I was expecting. Will allow to breathe an hour or two next time.
