This bottle was not in good shape. Tired and flat, just a tad of acidity left. Although it's a grape with good aging potential, sometimes older Sangiovese can be underwhelming.

Black cherries, almond, marzipan, licorice, dried kitchen herbs, tobacco. Beautiful midpalate which unfolds slowly but surely. Extremely elegant and full of distinguished power. A great Tuscan classic, and I loooove it!
