Dark burgundy in color with a purplish rim.

Fruity on the nose with vanilla, coke, blackberries, black currants, smoke, cherries, sweet strawberries, candy, licorice, dark chocolates, coffee, leather, earth, spices and lots of peppercorn.

Full-bodied with medium plus acidity and long legs.

Dry on the palate with blackberries, plums, cherries, vanilla, licorice, oak, chocolates, green peppers, coffee, mint, earth, tobacco and red pepper.

Long finish with firm, green tannins and black pepper.

This is a very spicy/ peppery Cabernet Sauvignon from Chile. Still young but already enjoyable. Needs 90 minutes in a decanter to fully blossom. Nicely balanced with lots of tannins and a great mouthfeel. will be better in two years time.

Good by itself or with hearty foods like beef stew. I paired it with a cheese platter.

13.5% alcohol by volume.

At $6.99 (CostCo) you are unlikely to find this much value in a Cabernet anywhere - pleasant fruit and nicely balanced oak & tannin. Good everyday steak wine

Used for cooking and drank the rest. Surprisingly complex for an affordable wine. Paired well with rye and dill. Worked perfectly in a cranberry sauce.
