No formal notes just impressions this evening . Really elegant and precise , with lovely fine tannins and fresh yet balanced , refined acidity. The fruit here is a little darker than the basic CC , darker cherry , more spice and a little anise hint . Long and detailed on the palate , this is drinking surprisingly well , though will age gracefully over the next 10 years or so . Even though this is refined and elegant there is no lack of body or intensity here . Really lovely this evening .

Medium ruby . Quite deep and round summer fruits , spiced dark cherries on the nose , pine resin, and a meaty note . On the palate there are ample ripe summer fruits, a mix of red and dark , cherry , red plum , blackberry and blackcurrant , dried herbs , and quite a mineral saline finish . The wine is well balanced, quite high gritty tannin and good acidity that becomes more noticeable and fresh with time in the glass. Good length. This will require quite a few years, another 5 at least and will probably improve over the next 8-10 . Very good though I’m not sure if it’s worth the extra over the excellent regular bottling , especially in a year like 2019.
