This took 3 days to open up. No kidding. Tightly wound and not showing much day one, but day three the dense dark plums, bramble and subtle toast were out in force.

The nose shows cassis, red licorice, blackberry, boysenberry, and oiled leather. The palate starts out silky smooth and then gives way to dusty tannins. The wine is seamless from beginning to end, gently evolving from black fruit up front to a lightly vanilla laced and earthy finish. Delicious wine, wish I would have paired it with a steak.
