Robust and rich nose of freshly tilled earth and cured meat, slightly smoky. High acidity. Somewhat soft but abundant tannins that have clearly mellowed a bit over time. Nice minerality. Overall a delicious wine that is great alone, but would likely be a superb steak paring as well.
