2013 Saseti Classico. Translucent ruby color, black cherries, damp earth and dried herbs. Acidity is bright and a great pairing for our roasted chicken and veggies.

Bright & cheerful, fruit forward, a bit of an abrupt finish possibly due to a little too much SO2

Short days call for comforting classics: valpolicella & mac n’ cheese (in my notorious RBG shirt). Light - even lighter than the 2019 - and more cranberry, blood orange than cherry this vintage. Heavy on the herbal notes: tarragon, oregano.

Light, bright, fresh, bing cherries, not complex. Enjoyably effortless!

Saturday vibes of Erbe Italiane di Lusso, but in a glass because that’s as close to cooking as we’ll get without burning the house down. If you could have friends over, who are better foodies than you, they’d mention it’s heavy on the tarragon, but not in a bad way. It’s a win-win that it’s got the nose of brandied cherries, because now it’s a meal and dessert.

But of course you’re still hungry, even though the cherries really reamed your palate. So you go for some strawberries, completely overstuff yourself with sour jelly beans, and enjoy your fat pants on the couch after burning off your tastebuds with alcohol and sugar.

Bright and light, cherries and cranberries, almost like a pineau d’aunis. Last wine of our Venice trip 🤗

Black pepper and red cherry nose. Juicy fruit, high acidity, tight tannins, medium to light body. Short finish.
