Montauk Summer Ale

A gentle, easy going summer ale. Fairly malty, doesn't sustain much, low hops presence. Not remotely complicated but that's ok.

Lacking any real hoppiness and by standards a bit expensive. Relatively low alcohol at 4.9% maybe leading it to the very mild flavor.

Very disappointing for a summer ale. Very similar to a light beer like Bud, Miller, Coors.

Since when did "summer ale" come to mean overpriced bud? Shameful calling this craft
