Grands-Echezeaux Grand Cru Pinot Noir

Great comparison of 2 GC, both '93, not a vintage that would be regarded as spectacular, the Mongeard-Mugneret was all showy and expressive when opened, the Mugneret-Gibourg needed a little more time to come around, but at a pinch I think the M-M was the hit.

Lovely and soft. Elegant.

This was perfection with the duck. It had that hoisin sauce quality that just elevated it above the rest with the food.
