I did not expect this Sangiovese, Ciliegiolo, Merlot blend to be so light and airy. A really pleasant surprise. Dominant cherry, with mint, licorice, and herbal notes. Made at a monastery in northern Lazio under Giampaolo Bea’s supervision.
