Found this in a small wine shop in Biarritz. I was surprised they had an ‘08 vintage white burgundy €35 or so

Still youthful, needs to settle down, but when it does......hoo boy. Some extremely good things lurking in here like buried treasure.

At the Domaine where all, particularly the Pommards were delightful.

Quite possibly the best $18 bottle of wine ever. Balanced, complex. Great array of fruit, acid, body, and a minerally backbone. Had more than a few years left in it.

Medium brilliant gold. Apples, lemon cream, and wet stones on the nose. The palate mimics the nose, with a whisper of vanilla. Crisp, lingering acid and a lacy long finish. Perfect match for tonight's roasted chicken. My record say I paid about $18 at the cellar door. Hard to believe.

Quite oxidised, lots of green apple and caramel, very very long finish fading into dried apricot — at WineNot

The robe is a golden straw color with sparking, golden flecks. The bouquet consists mainly of honeysuckle and acacia notes. Nice rich and creamy texture with a fresh, lengthy finish.
