This is a stellar wine, perfect balance, great match with the cheeses we are enjoying - probably should wait a few more years at least but we've passed our Duty Free allowance so we are enjoying the wines we can't take home!

2009: lovely elegance, french and quite juicy. Balanced, and quite ready. Lovely

Mellow, medium body Burgundy from Nuits-Saint-Georges. Pleasant to drink. Didn’t quite have the mineral and acidic backbone structure I had hoped for and expected from a premier cru.

Ripe red cherry, mushroom, and floral nose, tart yet still fresh fruit on palate, fantastic finish with well balanced acid and tannic structure. Drinking well for youthfulness but worthy of cellaring.

Great Vinyard in a lovely village. Nuits and 2009 combine to ensure this is fruit forward. Acid is still a strong but subtle component. Tanin is rounded but still young feelin to my my pallet. An hour of decanting opens the wine up well, and brings the full morello cherry and forest fruits to the nose. The tannin will round off further, and I feel that secondary flavours will enhance the wine further for a good number of years yet.
