Last weekend we had a blind wine tasting party (see the write up here: http://bit.ly/2IDvPcu) thanks to the team at Cellarmasters. This bottle of Mockingbird Hill 2016 ‘Slate Lane’ Shiraz from SA’s Clare Valley was one of the bottles.
It’s a lovely deep dark red colour in the glass. The nose is fresh and a touch savoury with blackcurrant and spice dominating for me. In the mouth it’s full of juicy vanilla infused black plums and has a wonderfully smooth silky texture. It also has this air of freshness to it, hinting at some minerality.
All opinions are based on my own taste buds. Wine is subjective & always evolving, so make sure you drink what you enjoy! #winesample #tcweekdaywine
