Dark plum/purple on the eye with medium+ viscosity and Light staining. Nose sees oak, dark ripe, crushed/stewed cherries and blackberries, hint of fat/cured meat. Palette sees strong, tart cherries, and a lot of cured meat/animal. You’ll also feel the alcohol in your throat. A nice wine, but not at all like your standard Tuscan Sangiovese- it’s bolder, heavier, and can stand up to a lot more. Good value at $17.
