Very round and finished for a young wine. Nice blend of Cab and Merlot giving the best of both dark fruit and fleshly mouth feel. Juicy acidity and juicy tannins. Let open for 30 minutes to an hour to take some of the initial sharpness off.

Improves with 30 minutes of aeration. Black currant on the finish. Very nice.

Five Vineyards by Mission Hill. Trying a wine my friend bought while downtown. Quite smoky, barrel aged quite nicely. I think I’m mainly picking up notes of Cabernet Franc between that, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. First few sips caught me off guard, it just wasn’t what I was expecting at first, but I feel it got better every sip I took. Very smooth with a nice warm finish.
