Waited the exact right amount of time to open this one. Black and red licorice, bittersweet cocoa, BBQ smoke, and inky blackberry. Almost Rhône-like but fleshy damson plum gives away its Californian origins.

Pleasantly surprised. Wasn’t sure what to expect as this came in the mystery case but drank like a balanced earthy Pinot. Would try this again depending on price.
