A mouthful of flavour with fruit salad - quite tropical. Very different to the Chenin Blanc I had recently from the Loire Valley. This is advanced in its drinking window but still with a moreish refreshing acid finish. Chenin Blanc - an unsung hero from New Zealand. One of the 1001 wines.

Feb 25th, 2024Interestingly on pouring there was some petillance (tiny bubbles on the inside of the glass). Mid Lemon in colour. Aromas of ripe almost mouldy apple - some quince notes. Medium weight palate. Still good acidity at 8 years. Great texture and a wonderful example of new world Chenin Blanc.
