Mar 9th, 2018Lemon pie and orange blossoms with lemon poppy madeleines lingering in the stratosphere. Banana bread and cedar shavings. The bourbon barrel screams from the glass. Hazelnut and pecan turn creamy vanilla pudding, pine nut, grass clippings and charred bits, with a satisfying carbon and graphite in a lemon pith middle burning a hot streak.

1 person found it helpfulMar 15th, 2016Attention scotch lovers: if you love highlands scotch, this is Ireland's answer to the eastern side of the UK, a single pot still 12 year Irish whiskey! Nice spice, mellow smooth mouthfeel, maintaining the fruit body, and a woody smoke nose, overall, outstanding! Wish I could try the 15 and the expensive 21 year!

Jan 8th, 2016Matured in oloroso sherry casks; generous and refined with rich dried fruits, treacle, and toasted oak notes. A true contender, and more complex than most speysides at this price.

Dec 14th, 2015There is a note in the flavor I'm not a fan of but the rest of it flows nicely together. Enough burn to be satisfying going down and very big bodied.
