Salento IGP 2012, 14.5%.
Bottle tasted in December 2014.
Made with "Primitivo" grapes, aka Zinfandel, aged partially in oak barriques, and partially in steal.
The result is a very well made full-bodied wine, with big personality, but smooth and elegant.
The tannins are present, but not at all aggressive.
Dark red fruits, a little compote, then a lot of licorice root.
Truly a pleasure to drink!
