Deep violet and scarlet glass with a rather weak nose for a Cabernet of cherry, blackberry. Cola and licorice. Light body on the palate brings chocolate and some peppery spice forward to accompany the berries. Long finish mostly due to sharp acidity, oakiness, and small soft tannins. This is a good glass of wine but not a typical Cabernet. Decant to allow time to open. Fair value at $17.98 USD.
