Les Grands Vergers Arbois Trousseau
A bit too bretty for me to get past, though there's something appealing lurking beneath it all. Too bad.

Mar 23rd, 2015This wine had the potential to be a 10 - delicate wild strawberry, barely ripe raspberry, orange zest, fresh pink roses, med tannin, lovely balance - but #brett, which is integral to the style of the wine, sat delicately over everything. Still super enjoyable but I wonder how amazing it would be if the cellar was cleaned up.

Palate is very fine, balanced with elegant red fruits and a silky finish

Though I usually find Trousseau somewhat delicate (and this one is, too), I wish I had decanted this. The bottom half of the bottle was 2x as expressive as the top!
