This is the worst wine I’ve had in several years. Reduced, secondary fermentation, totally undrinkable. I can’t believe the producer bottled this, Rosenthal imported this wine and the retailer put it on its shelf for $50. A failure on so many levels. I tried to rank this wine 1/10 but delectable wouldn’t let me go so low

Raspberries, bell peppers, spice and quite a bit of brett, at least in this bottle. Chewy tannins, fine acid and concentration. Nice.

Even better on day 2. Wish I had another bottle for a few years from now.

Short decant. Aromas of blood orange, maraschino cherries, red rope licorice and high quality potpourri. On the palate it’s red cherries and white pepper. Quaffable. Thanks Neal!!

Very pleasant juicy red fruits, forest fruits, and cinnamon spice on the palate. Lots of marl minerality. Good structure, lively acidity, and lovely longer finish.

A little odd on this occasion, with overwhelming maple and bacon notes on palate.

The Jura standard-bearer of #TrousseauFest2015 and its a little off. So sad. Gahier is the pinnacle in my mind.

Extremely reductive and funky. Palate is soft and lovely but the nose is overwhelmingly sulfuric

Interesting that almost all others noted funk. There might have been a touch upon opening but gave way to pretty tart red fruit & tons of minerality! Perfect with summer pasta dish (with cantaloupe sauce!) when folks wanted red not white.
