Colli Orientali del Friuli Rosso Merlot Blend

Such a phenomenal bottle of wine opened waaayyyy to early. With a few hours in a decanter though, magic happens. Would love to see this is 10 years.

Very rich and ripe, just enough freshness and and acidity to balance. I have a sweet spot in my heart for Miani, always a treat.

2010 vintage. Never experienced it this wild and gamey. While aromatics could have been more pronounced, it sure impresses on the palate, and its finish is far from ready. Will for sure provide loads of satisfaction from 2018 onwards.

2012 vintage. Rich and almost decadent, this must be Enzo's most voluminous Rosso so far. Still closed and in need of extended air exposure, but there's lots going on here. According to the back label, I'm facing 15,5% here but that truly well hidden thanks to its dense core of fruit, sweet tannins and underlying acidity. Great finish, long and detailed.

2010 vintage. Painfully young and unevolved but showing great promise for the future. Tightly wound and high in acid, it's fruit hasn't really evolved yet and we're still waiting for it to flesh out. Refined and really long, this will be at its best from 2018.

Just insanely good stuff! The purity of fruit is amazingly impressive, but this youthful version also holds some nice funk and a boatload of minerality. Serious, mouth coating tannins dominate the finish at present, promising this structured and utterly promising wine to shine thru 2025 at least. 2010 vintage.

Ripe and plush. Rarity.

Rosso ! Super special wine... So dry, iodine mountain grown flavors... I absolutely love this wine....

Intoxicating nose, sturdy dark red fruit, great acidity late, looong.

Nose quite backwards, palate very elegant with a very nice smoky and chocolate ending.
