Buy this if you can find it and serve it blind vs a top tier Pommard of similar age. At any price. Phenomenal.

A Pommard vibe with a bit more extraction. Richly extracted but on the right side of elegant. Concentrated strawberry and hints of vanilla. Light spice. Easily among the best French-inspired Pinot Noirs coming out of 🇨🇦 and possibly NA.

Back to Whistler, to Bearfoot Bistro and to these awesome Meyer Family BC Pinots. So clean and layered with bright strawberry, dusty and stemmy tannins drive a long finish. Not surprisingly, Oregon-like.

This small lot Pinot Noir is produced only in the best years. 110 cases were produced in 2012 from the best grapes, best block and best barrels. 100% French Oak, 11 months. Lay this one down for a few years. We paired it with duck this weekend at BackYard Farm.
