Had a bit of tart after initial cork pop. Settled down with a 1 hr decant. The nose is fig and ash. The entry is leather, pipe tobacco, some fig and prune. Softer finish with no discernable tannin. Definitely a darker expression but really impressed by this Texas wine at almost 10 years of age. I am not sure it really had a whole lot left in it though. I see this one going to the weedy and mushroomy side so I think I held on to this one as long as I could. Impressive. Almost worthy of a 90 but not quite there.
