From magnum. A cut above the 17’ Napa bottling.
Richer and darker fruits with peppery spices, counter by bright acidity. More depth on the mid palate. Balanced and complex.
15% PV from Kendrick vineyard.

The 15’ is not as accessible as the 14’, but I think I like this better for its fresher fruit profile with more berry notes. A bit more floral and spicy as well. On the palate it’s a bit more exuberant but is still quite elegant.
Not as good as the Saint Helena bottling, but very close. What a treat!

A mini vertical of Calistoga cab from one of my favorite Napa cab producers!
The 14’ Has a deep inviting nose of ripe plum, blackcurrant, eucalyptus, cigar box, incense, and forest floor. Warm juicy entry. Full, smooth, and elegant. Round acidity and silky tannins. Complex yet quite accessible.
The Calistoga cabs are only bottled in selected years, and usually blended with Petit Verdot.
