Classic SRHPN. Lean, stemmy, lighter side. Cherry, cranberry, earth, pine, cinnamon, subtle french barrel usage, transparent palate. Definitely some whole cluster in there. Good stuff. A steal at Costco for $22. Looking forward to trying it again tonight.

Crimson color, decent fruit but lightweight soft style, some tannic grip but not much. I prefer the estate version of Melville's Pinot (which is well worth the extra $5).

I learned after the first bottle this big California Pinot needs at least an hour's decanting before it hits your lips. Much more well-balanced with excellent earth and cherry notes.
