This is a superb Cabernet Sauvignon from Alexander Valley. It is well balanced and very enjoyable. The petit Verdot comes through on the back end and leaves you with a wonderful finish. Drink now or hold for 8-10 more years.

Still great 15 years later. Still has structure. Tannins still there. Well done.

Tannins much more structured than the 2004. Open right at the start. Vanilla, dark fruit, some charcoal. A better structured wine with a better finish than the 2004 (perhaps just a better vintage overall).

Closed at the start. Some dark fruit back there. Coffee, soft tannins; earth on the finish. Opened a bit after a few hours with cherry, a little plum, celery, and definite leather notes. This wine was shut down at the start surprisingly and it was decanted. It's on the graceful decline down, but some interesting notes for sure.

Menthol, rose, cherry nose. Plush caramel attack with toffee mid palate. Lingering spice, but a bit short.

I loves my Acid... Crisp, bright nice fruit with earth, nice alternative. Label design is brilliant.

Such lovely bright fruit that transitions into more savory flavors of pencil lead and eucalyptus after 30 minutes open. The tannins and oak have integrated very well, and acid is still very bright. A great match for our pot roast dinner.

Medlock Ames 2010 Cab - very nice and I really dig their branding aesthetic/labels, etc. (although my photo doesn't do it justice :)
