Dark ruby in color with a wide purplish rim.

Nose of black currants, blueberries, cherries, licorice, oak, vanilla, tobacco, black pepper, spices, chocolates and light earth.

Medium plus in body with medium acidity and long legs.

Dry on the palate with plums, black currants, coffee, oak, vanilla, licorice, spices, tobacco, peppercorn, light vegetables and earth.

Medium plus on the finish with firm tannins and tangy cherries.

This is a very enjoyable Cabernet Sauvignon from Mendocino County. Showing mild complexity with a nice mouthfeel. Spicy and firm.

Good by itself or with food. I really enjoyed the mouthfeel with the big tannins.

This Single Vineyard needs 90 minutes of airtime to bring out the tannins, but good right out of the bottle, too.

I liked it better as it opened up, and should be even nicer in a couple of years.

I paired it with cheeses and light appetizers.

A blend of 90% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Petite Sirah and 5% Merlot. A small production of only 200 cases. Aged for 2 years in mostly French oak barrels (30% New).

14.5% alcohol by volume.

91 points.

$44.
