Deep ruby appearance. Light-medium nose initially - detected blackcurrent, cranberry, yeast and some anise/ clove. After swirling, the yeast and clove was more pronounced. The flavour intensity was surprisingly stronger than the nose, confirming what the nose detected with some vanilla, smoky notes. Delicious medium-full body balance of sweetness, high acidity, low tannins with a fairly long finish.
