Dark, inky red. Full body. Earthy profile - moss, soil, mushroom, along with black cherry or plum. Medium/strong tannins. Medium acid. Drinks bigger than a typical merlot but not sloppy. Very enjoyable, flavorful wine. Would pair well with a nice hearty bowl of chili.
