Mr. Spittoon ordered some wines from Naked Wines last week and this was one of the bottles in the box. It's a 2015 blend of Nero d'Avola and Pinot Noir from the Murray Darling wine region (apparently the second largest region in Aussie). I have to admit I can see why Mr. S choose it as the 'Heresy Syllabus of Errors' label has a sort of heavy metal look to it if you ask me.

Ruby red colour on the eye. Fruit driven nose with slight whiffs of liquorice, white pepper and blackberry. Juicy, easy drinking palate which matched well with our peppered mushroom risotto. I enjoyed the earthy finish on the wine to complete the experience. $11-17 via Naked Wines.

All opinions are based on my own taste buds. Wine is subjective, so make sure you drink what you enjoy! #TCWeekdayWine

PS: From Wikipedia -The Syllabus of Errors was a document issued by Holy See under Pope Pius IX on December 8, 1864, Feast of the Immaculate Conception, on the same day as the Pope's encyclical Quanta cura. It listed the church's position in a number of both philosophical and political areas, and referred to the church's teaching on these matters as given in a number of documents issued previously. It is important as it was widely interpreted as an attack by the church on modernism, secularization and the political emancipation of Europe from the tradition of Catholic Monarchies.
