I’ve visited this lovely #drycreekvalley #zinfandel boutique producer in November of 2019. Usually I steer clear of heavily extracted, hot wines like this but it works so nicely here - a plush wave of plum and blackberry compote laced with baking spices and pepper, smoky undertones, bitter dark chocolate, but finishing with generous acidity. It’s definitely hot at 15.4% ABV but it’s delivered in a velvety tannic luscious mouthfeel package.
