A serious gripper, this wine is high on the tannin scale. I had the 2018 and it seems like it might need another couple of years to mellow out. However, I do love these dry, “gripping” wines, so this in getting a 9 from me.

I am surprised by the ratings I saw. This is a great wine. Mazzocco did well with dry creek valley!!!
Lots of flavor, alive and dark! Fruit forward and great balance.
