Jun 15th, 2024Vivid nose of mid season cherries, spice presented with top notch clarity. So clean. The spice just lifts this and takes it to another level. Mesmerizing. It’s a Xmas spice. Cardamon and clove. Dehydrated orange rind. Tree bark. Hint of sweet wood, but just barely. So good. 9.6 nose. Special. Oh man is this pretty. So elegant. Chambolle/Volnay levels here. Wow. Ripe, velvety tannin that are so precise and have great cut and sap. Such a completeness to this wine. This nose just gets better and better as it aerates. This is drinking so well now but 3-6 years in the cellar will improve. It gets grippy and tight with more air but the balance is there. Sappy and so pure. Love the cut of this.
Stunning nose with many hours of air. So floral, so much fruit and so complete.

Wowsers. What a nose. This is sick! Deep, deep red fruited (cherry) Pinot aromas that just transport you. Insane minerality. So fragrant. Wow, the aromatics are 9.7. Just opened. So nuanced, strong and restrained. Just amazing. Gorgeous minerals and a sense of stoniness. Just singing right now. Hint of savory. So so complex. Just stunning complexity and aromas. Wow. So so juicy. Just rocking Pinot. Sweet tiny berry cherry fruits. Perfect blend of black and red cherries. So pure. Better than actual cherries. All the best cherries in a large bowl of cherries. Gorgeous sweetness, freshness and purity. Astonishing. As nose opens it just gets deeper and deeper. A bottomless nose. What texture and inner mouth aromas. With air fruit gets sweeter but the mineral balance is right there. Velvety and such elegant tannins. Drink now through 2030 or so, but man if you can wait you deserve a medal.

Dec 19th, 2020N: Very dark blood black red cherries, tobacco, some grape, loam, forest floor. Peat. Quite mineral on the nose. Like mica in humus.
P:A very tactile wine indeed, grippy but not overtly. Cherries repeat, tobacco, very pure, it’s bright and balanced, no one aspect dominates. When people describe Pinots as “ earthy “ here you are. Beautiful!
Thanks @Fasselections
