(Decanted for approx 3 hours) Bright red with slightly rusted rim. Leafy tobacco, fresh cherries, and barnyard scents on the nose. On the palate there's elegantly pure and creamy red fruit with subtle brambly characteristics. This wine still has plenty of life left with tight tannins and firm acidity on a medium to long finish. Leaves you with cottonmouth. Not overly complex, but this Barolo still lived up to expectations. It went down very easy and stood up to a juicy ribeye steak. Looking forward to see how this effort develops in the yeas to come.
