Dry Tuscan. Sexy for some nice artisanal pizza.

An amazing food wine, this Sangiovese is a Chianti on steroids. It is resplendent with peppery spices, blueberries, and cherries. While it is complex enough to be a cocktail wine, it stood up bravely to a meal of Cuban beef picadillo with red beans and rice, and tarragon chicken & wheat berry salad with radishes, dried cherries, and arugula. Amazing food wine!

Dark fruit pops and wrangles with the stiff tannins and oak finish. As others said "a fine easy drinking red" but I think it misses some of the character of the region.

Wonderful, deep red. Lots of depth and tannins without being too much. Great with beef!

Dry with hint currant reminiscent of a dry Marsala wine. Drinking with Don Foard and Pam Gutay

2011. Pleasant and easy drinking Sangiovese. Muted fruits and thin tannins make this somewhat lighter and one dimensional than expected but drinkable nonetheless.

Not exactly what I was looking for, but fine nonetheless. Subtle, deep taste. Not exciting, but a chill red wine.
