Stone fruit. Dry. Slightest bit of olive brine and almost burnt quality in the back end.

Okay this is a serious wine. Drinking at about 50 degrees. Nose is restrained, all I'm getting at this temp is a bit of cherry and lots of chalk, limestone. Wine is totally dry. But there's a lot of fruit, really luscious, juicy even at first taste. There's tart cherry, strawberry on the palate.

After long day at a gun auction nothing says macho like #rosé I normally would argue that rosé is the selected quaff of fourteen year old girls and beehive wearing octogenarians, but we had a #pinotnoir rosé last summer that blew me away. I saw this on the shelf at the neighbourhood parental coping mechanism supply depot and figure it would be worth a try. Obviously pink in colour, perhaps faint salmon. Nose of underripe strawberry, red currant, and sea salt. Crisp on tasting. Strawberry dominates the flavour notes. Definitely on the drier side. Tart perhaps. First tastes are cleansing. Clean finish. 13.5%alc/vol. paired with rippled potatoe chips and sour cream dip. Not ashamed to say it would be decent with chicken mc nuggets either. For a guy that scoffs at rose, this is ok.
