Great wine by Steve! 1hr+ decant, not sure it needed that much. Dark red color. No way I would guess Napa if having blind. I’d guess 70% Italian and 30% French (Margaux). Dried cherries, cedar, and subtle floral elements on the nose. Big tannins and more cedar on the palate. Medium depth and finish.

Nice with just under 10 years of age. May have guessed something old world blind - perhaps the earthiness and the 13.7% abv. But the fruit is definitely there. Great pairing with pork chops from Kinderhook.

Jun 26th, 202245+ minute decant. Cherry color. Chocolate and dark cherries on the nose. Wine is well refined and smokey on the palate with some bell peppers and dark cherries. Medium finish. Quite nice!

Had with Berkshire pork chops, mashed potatoes and peas the first night; follows by Thai food (duck, tofu and Chinese broccoli) the second. Wine was good but not amazing even with time.

Pronounced nose, floral, some pencil, red fruit - cherry - on palate, mineral, elegant, balanced, clean and endless finish. Best Merlot I’ve ever had. Will age the rest of my bottles, feel I had this one way too young.
