Matthiasson Vineyard Ribolla Gialla

Nice. Tight at first but developed to be very perfumed, high tone orange blossom nose. Medium body and medium acidity. Subtle

Fading a little, but in line with previous notes.

Always great! See previous notes on a variety of vintages. Pretty consistent wine.

The color and the taste

A surprising touch of petrol.

Very nice ribolla gialla from Mathiasson, which is always a treat. Honeyed yellow color, this clearly sees skin contact as there are definite tannins. Very well balanced with good acid. Fruit a bit muted but not in a bad way. Really nice.

Gold color, Apricot and pear on the palate. Floral nose

Tasted flat at first, but it improved dramatically after it warmed up a bit. Lightly honeyed palate, minerals, clean and bright.

Stunning marigold color. Best served a touch warmer than other whites. Complex, savory, absolutely delicious.

Always a pleasure. Deep meaningful ribolla. A bit tight aromatically, but intense on the palate. Flinty and minerally with great acid, a touch of straw, and a very long finish. Not much fruit (in a way I appreciate) but a definite jolly rancher mouthfeel sensation. Very nice.
