Hard to know whether to like this - much lighter than a typical Cali cab franc, which is a good thing. Has the red berry fruit but has only a bare touch of the savoriness or herbaceousness I️ associate with Loire Cab franc. I️ think it’s like a 91 for California and an 87 for Loire. Still, shows the lightness of touch I️ expect from Matthiasson.

Black currant leaves and skins - a little fruit, but very dry. Light body. So elegant. Thinking about Steve and all of our friends in Napa and Sonoma during this awful fire.
